The elements of the Mexican Rail database have been tested by visual comparison with 1:1,000,000 Digital Chart of the World. Where new railroads have been added which were not in the source database, link alignments have been digitized or converted from digital sources acquired from the Digital Chart of the World with a map scale of at least 1:1,000,000.
